Stitching Progress

Not much stitching going on here.  We are suffering from the heat wave that has the east coast in its hold and quite frankly, I come home and jump in the pool each night and let the cool water ease the tension of the day.  This heat has surely taken the starch out of me.

Progress on my Jeannette Douglas class piece.....love the bunting.

Not a whole lot to show here either but slow and steady wins the race.  Good thing, I am not as overwhelmed (so far) with these piece as I feared.
I am enjoying the differences in these two and it makes it an easy transition to change from one to the other.  For now, both are 'parked' until this evening and whichever strikes from fancy at that time.   Seems we might we getting a break in the weather a bit and I sure need to tidy up my craft room, weed my flower beds and maybe I should consider vacuuming the pool instead of cooling off by lounging on a float.

  1. I know you are enjoying them both.... I have 2 large pieces I sat aside to stitch a few smalls... It can become overwhelming.. I need to go take a look at them again and segment them into smaller sections.. ( at least in my mind) and pick them back up.... I love the texture in your patriotic piece.!!!! Nice job, Faye

  4. I hear you on the weeding! It's desperate around here. We went to the Mann on Thursday--when it was 90* at 9:30 at night. Ugh! I've had a headache for a week straight. (Now because of the change in pressure!) Love the bunting on that one piece. So happy!

  5. I love your WIPs, Robin, the colors are great...and that all american bunting is so much fun!
Stay cool and safe...and let the pool be your hang out, with perhaps a cool cocktail just for good measure. It's that humidity that makes it so darn unbearable for me :)
