What could possibly be more diametrically opposite Downton Abbey?
How about tuning in some Sons of Anarchy?
The girls at work were talking about Sons so I started streaming it through Netflix and I am hooked. Sons couldn't be further from the life and world of Lord and Lady Grantham but I am enjoying it just the same. I started last weekend. I will finish up season two tonight. I have watched a couple of episodes (or more) each day to catch up before the next season starts. Crazy! I find myself wondering during the day how Gemma is or what Jax is up to...then I remember....it is just a show. I guess it is the total saturation I am giving my senses. It is so silly........little stitching, pleasingly plump, past middle aged woman and motorcyle gangs and guns and drugs and the IRA. I guess it is that fondness of the sound of a Harley. Like I said, diametrically opposed!
So while I watch, I stitch. Making a satisfying amount of progress on my O Christmas Tree farm sampler. It is moving on faster than I expected.
this post makes me smile :) Downton Abbey and Sons of Anarchy are my two favourite shows too. I also get a kick out of cross stitching while watching SoA - also opposite ends of the spectrum.

ReplyDeleteYes, I too got hooked on the sons and don't know why because they're such bad people!!
ReplyDeleteTNT and FX have such great writers and bring in such good acting talent that it's hard not to get hooked on their shows. I also highly recommend The Closer if you've never seen that series.
Never watch any of them... Your sampler looks beautiful.
