Stitching Along

Well, that 'idea' of mine to rotate projects throughout the week went out the window already.   I know some swear by it but I feel like it takes me so much time to get back into where I was before I left the project.   My stitching is my relaxation and not meant for causing me stress so......I guess I will go back to working on one project at a time until I am feed up before switching off to a different project for awhile.   I guess it doesn't really matter as long as I keep stitching.

So this week I feel like I made good of progress on the monster stitch  Corsica River.  This is where I was last week.....

And after the help of having a snow day.....

I really like how the stitching creates the recessed look to the areas not stitched.

Overall I really am enjoying this piece.I hope to keep up on this for at least another week or two before I feel the need to switch projects.    Until than, I will keep at it.

Thanks for stopping by and keep on stitching!

  1. That's a beautiful stitch. I can't seem to stick to a rotation either.

  2. I've tried rotation also, but it doesn't work for me :)
Corsica River is looking great, that's an intense piece.
    Have a great week!

  3. Love your snowy photo in your blog header! You made good progress on Corsica River. Rotations for some and not for others! You need to do what works for you so it doesn't suck the joy from your stitching.

  4. I like that look too...makes it look lacey! Having projects in rotation is a good idea...that way you always have something you're in the mood to stitch on! :-)

  5. Robin: I am so in love with Corsica River it is beautiful, how long is the whole piece just curious.
I am one who cannot have more then one project going at a time, finishing the construction of other things is different then stitching to me, however I do get antsy about finishing the stitching project I have going now.

  8. Oh, this is a stunning piece, Robin! I love all the blue :)

I am a one-at-a-time stitcher, too. Just could never do a rotation... As you say, once I leave it, I don't want to go back to it so I push through to a finish whenever possible!
